A residential customer must make 12 payments in a row by the 10th of the month and then all but $20 of the original deposit will be refunded to their utility bill. The $20 will remain on the customer’s account until they move out of Minden. A deposit of $300 or more is only refundable when the customer leaves the City of Minden. The billing software will automatically recognize when a customer has a good payment history and apply the refund. Customers may make inquiries to 308-832-1820. Business deposits are only refunded when the business no longer has utilities with the City of Minden. Landlord deposits are non-refundable until the landlord no longer owns any properties in Minden.

The cost of an extra pick-up is $15 for residential pick-ups; the fee for extra commercial pick-ups depends on the dumpster size. Call the city offices at (308) 832-1820 for additional information.

In most cases your garbage will be collected on the following business day. Exceptions occur when the city offices are closed for more than one day in a row. Please refer to your recycling calendar for the holiday garbage collection schedule or call the city offices at (308) 832-1820.
